Business case and capital costing
A capital request built on vendor numbers rarely survives the CFO. We build the business case from your own costs and volumes, show every assumption and test the ones that move the answer.
Book a scoping callWhen to call us
- You need a capital request approved this budget cycle.
- The integrator's ROI looks too good.
- Finance has asked for sensitivity and a downside case.
How we approach it
- Build the current-state cost baseline: labor, space, equipment, errors and service.
- Model the future state for each option, including ramp-up and the costs proposals leave out.
- Calculate payback, NPV and IRR at your hurdle rate.
- Run sensitivity on volume, wage rate, uptime and timing, and write the downside case.
Questions
Will you use numbers from our integrator?
Yes, as one input. We check them against your data and independent benchmarks, and show where they differ and why.
Do we keep the model?
Yes. You receive a working spreadsheet with every assumption labelled, so your finance team can rerun it without us.
How accurate is the estimate?
Each figure carries a stated estimate class and accuracy range. Early studies are budgetary; after the RFP the numbers come from priced bids.
Talk it through
A scoping call costs nothing. You receive a written estimate before any work is billed.
